Creating a Fruitful Pattern In Its Place
![Breaking Your Patterns by Patsy Dale, Moxie and Faith Blog](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/2c7c03_2fd001d87e8a478b94990bffdb3eb45b~mv2.png/v1/fill/w_940,h_680,al_c,q_90,enc_auto/2c7c03_2fd001d87e8a478b94990bffdb3eb45b~mv2.png)
I practice what I preach, and as they say, I have good patterns, but the bad ones are pretty bad if you ask me.
A pattern of behavior that we exhibit concerning, for example, being organized and timely, is excellent. What is a destructive habit that causes you to be deficient in some action or practice that bears no personal reward if acted upon?
If you think about it, thoughts cross our minds in seconds, and we hear, "I can do better at this," or, "Gosh, I have to stop this; it's not good for me!". Most of my nonfruit-bearing patterns are not critical issues in my life, but addressing them and committing to changing them would make a difference in my life in a positive way. We all need positivity in our day-to-day lives.
Have you noticed that a lot of the time, those destructive patterns often cause more than one repercussion? Let us think this through, I don't drink much, I don't abuse drugs (a little CBD once in a while), and I am not an overeater; for me, these would be top of the list for physical and emotional harm, but, I am spared these destructive patterns.
I'll pick a hard one first; what I am not spared is Chronic Insomnia, so what has that led to without intention on my part? First, anxiety then slowed responsiveness in my work, and with that came mistakes, frustration, and loss of self-confidence.
Where do I go from here? When you have tried everything except RX for sleeping, is it time to see the doctor? I did, and they wanted to give me anti-depression medication; of course, I said, nope, no way, not going to happen! Why? Because I am not depressed!
Here is an excellent pattern to combat the effectsInsomniaInsomnia of insomnia; honestly, I rarely exercise, and when I do, guess what? I slept a little better that night. There is a pattern that I need to create and exercise every day.
It's easier said than done; I bet you agree. As a get-to-the-point, get-it-done personality, this should be easy for me; it's not. I am at my wit's end, so let the exercising commence. Slow and steady wins the sleep here. I will let you all know how it goes. If you are anything like me, take those steps because we have no clue of the fruits of our labor in the beginning, but if you can imagine your ideal outcome, it is not worth attaining a pattern of good behavior for the benefit of your health.
To sum up, no matter your ineffective behavior patterns, we can self-repair in those areas. We are worth a better life. It starts with our behavior, mindfulness, and how we affect others; if we are well, we are better humans than one another.
Be kind, generous of spirit, forgiving, and a sharing person with excellent behavioral patterns!
Until the next posting, thank you for stopping by, and may you have a blessed day!
